QuickDip, Make Your Own Igniters

40 Gram bottles of QuickBurst QuickDip sell for $30.00 each.

 New and Improved!

QuickDip pyrogen.   Comes in a resealable plastic bottle and is very simple to use. Forty grams of the mix will make a boatload of igniters. All you do is thin the mix with acetone (available at most Home Improvment/Hardware) stores to the consistency of thick maple syrup and dip away. I suggest dipping then allowing the mix to harden a few seconds, then re-dipping until you get the desired thickness.  Each bottle comes with complete instructions.  QuickDip can be re-thinned as many times as necessary.  Now you can make your own High Power Igniters.  You can also make low current igniters using QuickDip.  Purchase the E-Match Kit, follow all direction then add a layer of QuickDip over the H-3 (after it has dried 12 hours).  this will give you some great low current igniters for Clusters or Airstarts.

Long term Storage:  the solvent used in QuickDip is acetone and acetone evaporates rapidly.   Try storing your bottle of QuickDip in a "Mason" jar.  The Mason jars seal very well and will help preserve your dip.  In the event QuickDip looses the solvent and becomes a solid, you can re-constitute the dip with acetone and let it soak overnight.  The best bet is to seal the bottle tightly and add a teaspoon of acetone every month.  This will keep it soft.
