An ATF permit is not required to purchase, store, possess, mail, manufacture or use the 50 Gauge Pre-Soldered E-Math Heads. The Pre-Soldered E-Match Heads are composed of unregulated materials.
The pre-soldered 50 Gauge E-Match Heads are designed to be used with all known avionics. Bench test your system prior to flight. Each match head comes with 12" Shooting wire leads. Always check resistance and continuity prior to flight, expect 1 to 2 Ohms resistance.
Longer leads are available upon request at a minimal charge. You must ask for a quote for this option.
All known altimeters will fire the 50 Gauge E-Match Heads. I have bench tested with the ARTS Altimeter from Ozark Aerospace and it fires the heads perfectly, FYI ... The ARTS has the shortest latch time I know of if the ARTS will fire them any commercial altimeter will. These chips will not ignite black powder, stand alone. You must use the H-3 pyrogen. QuickDip will not work.
Suggested dip:
Make or purchase Nitrocellulose lacquer, 5% solution is recommended. Meaning 5% NC:95% Acetone. For example, say you want 100 grams of NC Lacquer, you would need 5 grams of NC disolved in 95 grams of acetone.
Prepare H-3 dip.
Needed
Potassium Chlorate(200 mesh or less).
5% Nitrocellulose lacquer. (5:95 nitrocellulose/acetone).
Airfloat charcoal.
The following makes 5 grams H-3. Five grams of H-3 will make a lot of e-matches.
To 3.75 grams finely divided Potassium Chlorate Add 5% NC lacquer to achieve light syrup consistency.
To this add 1.25 grams airfloat charcoal.
Stir gently until a smooth homogenous mixture is obtained. Thin as needed with acetone.
CAUTION:
Chlorate Mixtures are friction sensitive.
Dip primed match head into H3 mixture about 1/8" up the chip. Hang to dry overnight. Follow up with a quick dip into the NC lacquer and hang to dry four hours. The last dip will add a protective coating.

Or use your own composition.
Ping Pong Balls disolved in acetone used as NC lacquer? Never used it and I don’t know if it would work or not. Possibly so, I suggest you purchase the NC lacquer.
No further assembly required.
