Our 100% Nomex Parachute Protector is 24" square and has a presewn hole in one corner to accomidate your shockcord. It will fit comfortably in 6" or larger airframes.

A parachute protector is frequently used to cover your parachute and protect it from hot ejection gasses. Damage to your parachute from hot gas will accrue with each flight, prematurely aging your recovery system and eventually causing weakened shroud lines or burnt areas of your expensive parachute. Using a parachute protector will address this issue. Your parachute will now be protected by a 100% Nomex cover, eliminating possible burnt areas and weakened shroud lines. This makes life for your parachute much easier and will increase its useable lifetime many times over.
Each parachute protector is made from six ounce 100% Nomex (color may vary). They measure 18 inches square. Serger lock down stitching is used throughout with Nomex thread. Nomex is very heat resistant, up to 800 degrees Fahrenheit for a brief period of time and sustained temperatures of up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Nomex will not support combustion.
